How about a secret page with my

Music

Check out some of my playlists on Spotify. I have a couple of public ones that I keep up to date.

Youtube

Let’s just say that I watch a lot of Youtube, and because of that, you deserve to have a look at some goodies!

Workout

What can I say, I run, I cycle and I record it. Gotta count the miles somewhere. But I’m keen to have you spy on my workout routine!

Gaming

This is not a big part of my life at all. I was once into it a lot, but these days, I have toned it down. If I do play, I love Simulation games. My dream is to build a flight rig as well as driving rig.

When work got too serious

In my time working at Lumkani as part of my vacation work(internship), I managed to find myself being included in an important picture. It was for an investor’s website and till today, that photo makes it seem like I work there.

A couple of stories

The reason I made this website

You may question why I invested so much time in this website. I mean, I’m just a university student with no real notable work under my belt. I don’t have a product on display or for sale. So why?

A couple of factors. There are some personal ones but we’ll save those for a coffee chat that we could possibly have. The other, more shareable reasons are quite simple actually.

  • I needed a challenge!
To be honest, there’s not a lot out there that can’t be done and I had never made a website that was live and official.
  • I needed to do something during lockdown
Yes, I got bored and made a website. But in it I learned a lot. And by far  the best web page I made was this one as it was the most fun to populate(which is odd as there is limited access to it).
  • The actual reason
Well during a Throwback Thursday moment I had, on 9 April 2020, I concluded it saying I’d have something special for the viewers the following week. This website was it! More so it had a story I wanted them to read about my weight loss journey. So a deadline was set and in just 7 days, the site was up and built.
And so that’s it. No sponsorships, no incentives, no added extras. Just a boy and his imagination. And this was the product. There remains one question, why this page? It exists as a metaphor for life. We all have our wild side that we hide and don’t want to show but in there are some awesome things. These, I hope, are some of my cool bits.

In the kitchen

My best loaf of bread

Indeed, it is tried and tested and I have found this to be an amazing loaf of bread. It’s gone through many iterations and revisions to get to here. So why not bake it and have it with some peanut butter!

3 cups of bread flour
1 pinch of salt
7g of instant yeast
6 teaspoons of sugar
1 cup of water
2 tablespoons of sunflower oil

  1. Mix the yeast, water and oil.
  2. Mix the flour, sugar and salt.
  3. Combine the wet and the dry mixtures. Knead the dough till it is smooth.
  4. Add a bit of oil to a bowl and roll the dough in oil and let set in a warm location while covered for an hour or till doubled.
  5. Grease baking pan. Take out dough from bowl and knead and shape it and place it in to the baking pan. Let it sit in a warm area while covered till pan is full.
  6. Bake in preheated oven at 180 degrees for 20 – 25 minutes.
